NIEA is accepting submissions for Student Days occurring on Thursday, October 10, 2024, for students in 11th grade through Postsecondary and Friday, October 11, 2024, for grades 6th-10th, in conjunction with The 55th Annual NIEA Convention & Tradeshow in Palm Springs, CA.
The aim of NIEA Student Days is to promote and celebrate Indigenous students' cultural identity, leadership, advocacy efforts, financial aid literacy, and financial support available to Indigenous students. The topics could include language revitalization, inclusive education policies, mental health support, digital sovereignty, artistic expression, and higher education leadership.
Submission Deadline is May 31, 2024.
Presenters will be notified mid-late June 2024.

When completing your registration, kindly take note of the following schedule:
Thursday, October 10, 2024: This day will focus on students ranging from Grade 11 to Graduate level in college.
Friday, October 11, 2024: This day will focus on students in Grades 6-10.
NIEA Student Days will bring together high school students, college students, professionals and invited guests to expand their understanding of Education Sovereignty through a cultural lens.
We invite students to attend this 2-day event that is packed with inspirational, accomplished, Indigenous influencers who are leading the way towards Education Sovereignty!
