Culture and Language Based Curriculum

There is a direct link between cultural identity and the cognitive success of students.  Native students learn by listening, observing, and participating in their traditional practices and beliefs and, within their school environments, need educators, curriculum and pedagogies that reflect their culture and identity as indigenous people.  That’s why a key focus of NIEA is to create culture and language based curriculum and resource materials to support educators as we move toward a world where all students, Native and non-Native can have access to curriculum that supports Native Education for All.  We invite you to explore our offerings.
