There is no greater investment that can be made than one in our youth, especially now, as we look to strengthen and support Native cultures and ways of life. By providing sponsorship support of the National Indian Education Association’s 50th Anniversary  Convention & Trade Show — being held October 8th-12th in Minneapolis, MN  — you can directly influence the future of education within Native communities.  Please join us, and over 2,000 expected participants, as we emphasize innovation, creativity, and culture throughout the workshops, presentations, and keynote sessions.

The NIEA Convention & Trade Show will support activities with the sole purpose of creating long-lasting educational opportunities for our American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian students. These activities include:

  • Over 150 workshops focused on the professional development of the teachers who work with Native students. Workshops include information on effective teaching models and resources to help Native students succeed in all academic subjects.
  • Plenary Sessions and Keynote Speeches which focus on ensuring culture, creativity, and innovation are the foundation of Native education.
  • NIEA’s Evening Awards Gala and Awards Dinner, which celebrates Native educators, and their strategies, that work towards advancing high-quality academic and culturally based curricula.
