NIEA is committed to ensuring that educators, advocates, and students are able to access the resources needed to help improve the quality of Native education.
Whether it’s providing networking and learning opportunities at our annual Convention and Trade Show, gathering information from members during our state-wide training events, or providing advocacy support at our annual Head to the Hill Day, NIEA continuously works to improve access to information and resources.
June 17- 21, 2019 – Students (6-9 Grades) will participate in Native wellness curriculum in classroom experiences to provide awareness of holistic approaches to living healthy lifestyles and behavior changes to enhance their journey to wellness
June 18, 2019 – Promoting development of educational codes by Tribes to build the capacity of tribal education departments (TEDs) to administer federal grants and contracts toward potential implementation of tribal controlled schools.
October 8, 2019 – The Bureau of Indian Education, Department of Education, and the Administration for Native Americans, in partnership with NIEA invite you to SAVE THE DATE for our Annual Native Language Summit (NLS).
