CONSTITUTION & RESOLUTIONS Go back to the main Convention Page Only Until the By-Laws/Resolutions are due. Resolutions guide national policy development and help establish legislative priorities. They provide guidance and direction by bringing attention to issues of concern to NIEA members. It is primarily at the annual convention where resolutions are brought before the membership for deliberation and approval or rejection. The NIEA Board's Resolutions Committee is responsible for determining whether a resolution is of an Emergency or Non-Emergency nature. Resolutions which are submitted on site at the convention must meet the criteria of an emergency resolution. If the resolution has been found to meet the criteria, it will be submitted to the membership for approval or rejection. Only NIEA voting members may submit resolutions, and introduce, move, and/or second resolutions at the convention. Use this format for all resolutions. This form may be used or a resolution may be typed separately. A member may not submit more than five (5) resolutions.
